Born in the Bahamas, Clarice immigrated with her parents and brother to Miami when she was seven. An evident mutant from birth, her parents hoped the move would give their daughter a full chance at a life in a country where she was more accepted. The dream of many immigrants, the hope of a better life for Clarice and her brother.
A dream that would die under Apocalypse's heavy feet.
When Apocalypse attacks America, Sinister leads the attack on Florida. Clarice's family dies in the attack, and she is captured by Sinister. Clarice spends much of her childhood in The Pens, bouncing between Sinister's labs, Beast's operation room, and Sugarman's cold cells. It is a horrific, lonely, painful childhood, one that leaves scars on her body and almost shuts her down completely.
“Just a kid, Logan. Just somebody's kid.”
That is the child that Victor Creed rescues.
Saved from The Pens by Creed, Clarice is brought to Magneto's ragtag band of Xmen. Here she struggles, as everyone struggles, in the fight against Apocalypse. Overly withdrawn and shy, it is only Creed who can pull her out of shell, and to have her engage in anything. Creed, and another one of the mutants he had rescued, known as Wildchild. Together, the three of them became almost a family. Creed came to love Clarice as a daughter, and trained her to fight and kill just as ruthlessly as he did.
"This is it. Apocalypse dies."
After years, so many years, of struggle, the Xmen finally have a chance to end the tormentor of their world. It will come at great cost; the end of their timeline. A price that Magneto and all his followers are willing to pay. No one notices, in the finally desperate battle, when one small mutant disappears.
Clarice has been sent into the multiverse, recruited to a team known as the Exiles, and saving the multiverse when their own timelines could not be saved. This would be her new fight, her new adventure, and though she grieved for the family and friends that she had lost, she soldiered on. She grew more confident, more controlled, opened herself up to love and to friendship.
And that is where she is now. Travelling the multiverse, fixing the wrongs that she can, before it all slips away in another blink
